Top 5 Comics (02-27-13)

The return of Top 5 Comics... and it's a week early. So I took a couple weeks off thanks to me getting into a new schedule of actually work and that junk, and I'm posting this early because I will be spending all of tomorrow and Thursday traveling to Seattle to attend Emerald City Comic Con, so look forward to hearing about that when I get back.

5. The Rocketeer: Hollywood Horror #1 (IDW): Since IDW has been publishing the various Rockeketeer mini-series' each one has been enjoyable, and so I am looking forward to seeing how this one pans out.

4. Uncanny Avengers #4 (Marvel Comics): The cavalry arrives to help save our heroes from from the Red Skull and his psychic powers. Remender is just knocking this series out of the park, and I hope to get to talk to him at ECCC. Great characters, great story, and was a great launch to Marvel NOW just only issue is with its on time release. Hopefully that becomes less of one so we can continue to enjoy an great comic.

3. Uncanny X-Men #2 (Marvel Comics): This was not a comic I was expecting to have on my list at all... ever. Hell I wasn't expecting to have the title in my file the other week, but bam it was there and I bought it without realizing it. So I gave it a read and damn it was enjoyable. Much more enjoyable than All New X-Men #1. The reveal at the ending, though not a twist, gives the book a good solid direction that has me interested in continuing.

2. Young Avengers #2 (Marvel Comics): I normally don't like to swear on the blog but all I can say about this book is right now is "Goddammit Marvel you fucking cock tease! Why must you make me wait so long for this book!?! Don't you realize I need it in my life?" So in summation start reading this book if you currently are not.

1. Batman, Incorporated #8 (DC Comics): Now I haven't read any spoilers, and have no intention on reading any, but this is always one of my must read titles. With the hinted death of my favourite Robin I am very interested in reading this issue. Yes, Damian Wayne is my favourite Robin, he has been the Robin as long as I have been reading comics and I will hate to see him go.
