My oh my its been another week already? I had so many plans for post between last weeks Top 5 Comics and this weeks, but that didn't happen. Oh well, I guess I'll just keep moving on work to do better next time. Anyways lets go look at some comics. Now this week, again it's a week I'm not super thrilled with, but let's get to them anyways. (Side note, right now while I'm writing this I'm on painkillers for a head injury that occurred at work, so things might get weird here.)
5. The Rocketeer: Hollywood Horrors #4 (IDW): I've been a fan of the Rocketeer groups of mini series' since Mark Waid started them, and this series has been fairly good too. This is it's final issue, and then after this we will be getting the Rocketeer and The Spirit crossover, which should be amazing.
4. Thor: God of Thunder #8 (Marvel Comics): It's Jason Aaron writing Thor. The Godbomb story might be the conclusion of the God Butcher story, if so that's okay and if not that's okay too. The story has been great so far, and in this one we might meet Thor's possible daughters? I have some feeling that this title might have something to do with Infinity in a few months, but I could be wrong too. It could just be Aaron's other title that will play into that event. Either way this is a great read.
3. Uncanny Avengers #8 (Marvel Comics): Let the Age of The Apocalypse Twins begin. I'm just constantly curious in seeing where this series goes. It reminds me a lot Uncanny X-Force, but I don't know there's just something that isn't clicking with it. Still keeping with tho, there is still that hook for me that is drawing me in.
2. Batman and Red Hood #20 (DC Comic): I'm just starting to read this title after a conversation with one of the employees at my LCS. So lets see how this goes. Maybe I'll post a follow up later on about this.
1. Avengers #11 (Marvel Comics): Its Jonathan Hickman. Its Avengers. It has been AMAZING. And this is leading up to Infinity in some way, plus we just get more fun little one shots that give us more info into whats going with the transformed areas or what AIM has planned for what they took. Just give me more of this title already.

Top 5 Comics (05-01-2013)
I was going to write up a top 5 review for this week, but due to me having to go out of town for a doctors appointment I just wasn't able to until now. So while I was trying to pick out comics for this week I could only see two title that I'm actually excited for, and one I'm interested in by its cover but have been really disappointed in reading the title so far. I'm getting more comics, but I'm just kinda blah about them. The creative teams are broken, or I'm just behind on them, or just something else. So for the three title I'm giving you this week are:
3. Age of Ultron #7 (Marvel Comics): This title has been so frustrating. I don't know, it just doesn't work for me, but I keep reading it for some reason. Hopes of Marvel Man showing up in the end, a tease of Infinity in the closing extra issue, or maybe I'm just a sucker for events? I'm sold to this right now. This cover was one that actually sold me on the title, and now I want to know how this come to be, or whats going on for this to be a thing. Hopefully this doesn't disappoint, but it probably will.
2. Iron Man #9 (Marvel Comics): With Iron Man 3 coming out in theaters this week, and here we get the start of a brand new story arc with Iron Man. We get his secret origin, what could this mean? I don't know? I'm burnt out on the idea of 'secret origins', whats the twist that his father ultimately had plans to make him rise to his potential the whole time? That Tony is the last son of an alien planet? Who cares? The title has been amazing so far since the Marvel now relaunch with Kieron Gillen took over the title. This has been the first time I've cared about the character so I'm pretty sold on seeing how this story plays out.
1. Thanos Rising #2 (Marvel Comics): I know I just gave a rant about secret origins, but holy hell did I ever love the first issue. Jason Aaron is just a writer that seems to do no wrong. He gives good dark and deep stories that also have humour and soul to them. The art too is just wonderful, and works so well with the story being told. This is a must read title for me, and I recommend it to everyone.
And just to give you guys a little more stuff to round out the blog this week. I spent the day reading the Adventure Time comics (Kaboom) and Prophet (Image) both of those are amazing and good reads. I highly recommend the pick up if can. Both titles have trades out now and are worth the grab.
3. Age of Ultron #7 (Marvel Comics): This title has been so frustrating. I don't know, it just doesn't work for me, but I keep reading it for some reason. Top 5 Comics (04-03-13)
It's the beginning of April and so lets try to start again with the blog, and with a new attempt at we go forward with Top 5 Comics. So lets look forward to this weeks books.
5. Age of Ultron #4 (Marvel): I haven't had a chance to speak on this highly anticipated event, and now that it's here I really haven't had much of a chance to read much of it besides the first issue. I'm curious to see what this event will mean for the Marvel universe (if anything, besides for the already spoiled final issue appearance of a certain creator and his creator owned character from the Spawn universe). Anyways, much like the results of an important test, we will just have to wait and see how this turns out.
4.Swamp Thing #19 (DC Comics): Rot World has come to an end and so has Scott Snyder's time on this title, and so with issue 19 we welcome Charles Soule as writer and Kano on art as the new Swamp Thing creative team. With this we will see a direction away from the tight crossover lead story from before (not that that wasn't good), but a new era that will hopefully shine as bright as the past 18 plus annual issues of this title.
3. Action Comics #19 (DC Comics): With this issue we welcome on the creative team of Andy Diggle & Tony S. Daniels start their run on the title, Diggle has already stepped off title I'm sure this should still be a good read. I'm a big fan of Andy Diggle, and if you enjoy this title make sure to check out his other title out this week Snapshot. Daniels will finish the story out, & personally I've enjoyed his writing work on the Batman title prior to the New 52 relaunch, I just hope that DC can find a steady creative team for Action Comics after this & not take a year like it did with Superman.
2. Thanos Rising #1 (Marvel): Marvel's Thanos based mini-series by the great writer Jason Aaron is here to remind us of who the hell that purple dude was at the end of The Avengersmovie in case forgot about him from last summers blockbuster. This is Aaron' s take on the death courting Thanos' origin, and from early reviews of it I hear it comes down to him really just needing a hug. Come on people of Titan, get it together and give Thanos a hug.
1. Earth 2 #11 (DC Comics): *SPOILER ALERT* I'm talking about what's on the other side of the WTF cover, and inside the book. Only reason this book makes it to number one is that. So you are warned.
MOTHER FUCKING MISTER MIRACLE AND BIG BARDA SHOW UP IN THIS ISSUE!!!!!!
5. 2012 Recap: Top 5 Titles of 2012
So the year is coming to an end and it time to look back over the year and see what new released titles of 2012 I really enjoyed. So lets start this off with...
5. Batman, Incorporated (DC Comics): Now this is kind of a cheat, and we wont see it on many best of lists for the year because it is the second volume of Grant Morrison's Batman, Incorporated work. I know I have said this time and time again, but I'm a big fan of Mr. Morrison's work (especially with Batman), and if I was doing a top 10 list we would see his dive into creator owned with with Image's Happy. This Batman title is continuing with a lot of what he did back in the pre-New 52 relaunch. The inclusion Chris Burnham art has just made the title ten times better. It's great and I can't wait to see this collected with the first volume of it.
4. Thor God of Thunder (Marvel): This isn't a title I've talked a lot about on here, but it is one of the most amazing and well plotted titles of Marvel NOW. The idea of watching Thor from three points in time (youth, present, and all father Thor) just strikes a cord with me. How will the events with the Butcher lead to Thor being the last in Asgard? Jason Aaron over the last 2 years has become one of my favourite comic book writers, and here he is bound to deliver an amazing story.
3. The Manhattan Project (Image): 2012 was the year of Image. They just knocked it out of the park with their twentieth anniversary of the creator owned publisher and some of the most amazing titles to come out in years. One of the titles being The Manhattan Project by Jonathan Hickman, an alternate history of the Cold War arms race is giving us an amazing story with aliens, cyborgs, alternate earths, and so much more. This is a must read title.
2. Avengers (Marvel): So far we have only seen two issues of this title, but both of them were just amazing. I am more placing this title here for the potential it has with Johnathan Hickman helming the title, and after seeing the expansiveness that he gave us in Fantastic Four and FF as well as his work over at Image this is going to be a title to watch in 2013 as it is bound to give us some amazing story telling.
1 Saga (Image): I've already spoken on 2012 being the year of Image, and that just is made more clear by the amazing title that is Saga. I really don't know how to put in words how great the BKV space Romeo and Juliet story has been., and it is just complimented by the beautiful Fiona Staples art. I've said this so many times before, but get your eyes reading this asap. This wasn't even a title I was going to read originally, but I tried it and I was hooked.

Top 5 Comics (September 26, 2012)
It's that time of the week were I look at the top 5 comics of the week that I am looking forward to reading. So enough of the preamble lets get to some comics.
5. Wolverine and the X-Men #17 (Marvel Comics): Jason Aaron, Michael Allred, and Doop, what more do you want? This has been one of Marvels best titles since it start with its fun tongue and cheek approach with throwbacks to many ideas brought up in Grant Morrison's New X-Men.
4. Captain Marvel #4 (Marvel Comics): This has been an amazing title for its first three issues, and it is bound at continue. If you aren't reading this you should start, your local shop should still have all the prior issues and see for yourself how good this is.
3. FF #22 (Marvel Comics): Concluding the story from the last issue of Fantastic Four what will we see happen with Bentley 23 after his reunion with his father? This is the second last issue of Johnathan Hickman's time on this title before marvel NOW and I a so curious to see how it all wraps up.
2. Batman, Incorporated #0 (DC Comics): This issue we get the New 52 origin of Batman Incorporated. How is this going to be different from how it originated pre-New 52? I guess we will have to read and see.
1. Happy #1 (Image Comics): Grant Morrison first creator owned series in a long time. I'm very curious to see how this plays out, especially with the talks of Mr. Morrison leaving DC come January. I'm hopeful for this new series since I'm a big fan of Grant Morrison's work.

Top 5 Comics (May 30, 2012)
My top comics for this week are:
5. Wolverine and the X-Men #11 (Marvel): This is a Avengers Verses X-Men tie-in issue where we continue the story from Cyclopes and his X-Men show up at the Jean Grey School. What members of the school faculty and students will join up with Cyclopes to fight the Avengers. What will happen in the fight between Iceman and the Red Hulk? This title has been one of the more fun and well written X-Men titles these days and that's all thanks to Jason Aaron.
4. Animal Man Annual #1 (DC Comics): The return of the first DC Annuals. This issue should be a good jumping on point for those interested in seeing what will come next with the Rot World storyline from Animal Man and Swamp Thing. This appears to be the first crossing point of the stories of Animal Man (Jeff Lemire) and Swamp Thing (Scott Snyder). Both titles have been telling a similar stories, but from two different view points ( Animal Man with the Red and Swamp Thing with the Green) on taking down the Rot.
3. Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles #10 (IDW): This has been an amazing series that seems to be able to blend the concepts from the original comic and the 80's/90's cartoon to an amazing story point. In this issue we get SHREDDER.
2. FF #18 (Marvel): This issue Johnathan Hickman takes the Future Foundation to Wakanda, and we get a new member brought in. This is the first issue of a new story that brings the FF and the Fantastic Four to Wakanda, which should be interesting.
1. Batman Annual #1 (DC Comics): Court of the Owls continues and Mr. Freeze is introduced. What relation does Mr. Freeze have to the Court of Owls, and will he be key to taking down the Talon?
